Frequently asked questions
Are the worksheets really free?
Yes. Every generator is free, needs no account and works in your browser. The site may show advertising, which is how we pay for it.
Do I need to sign up or install anything?
No. Open a tool, change the settings and press Print or Save as PDF. There is nothing to download or install.
Is anything I type uploaded or saved?
No. The worksheets are made in your browser, so a child’s name or a word list stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Can I print on A4 and US Letter paper?
Yes. Choose A4 or US Letter before you print or save a PDF, and the worksheet is laid out for that paper size.
What ages are the worksheets for?
Most tools suit ages 2 to 7: toddlers who are starting to cut and trace, preschoolers learning their name, and children in kindergarten and first grade (Reception to Year 2 in the UK) working on letters, numbers and early reading. The ages on each page are a guide, so start where your child feels confident.
Do the tools work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The pages are built for phones first. You can customize a worksheet on a phone and print it or save a PDF.
Can I use the worksheets at home and in my classroom?
Yes. Parents and teachers are welcome to print as many copies as they need for their own children or class. Please do not sell the worksheets or post them on another site as your own. See our Terms for details.
Do the phonics and matching sheets have answer keys?
Yes. Every phonics and matching generator has an Include answer key page switch in its settings. The key is added as a separate page after the worksheet, so your child never sees it by accident.
